what you need to know about tarantula tattoo designs part II

You might not think that this is necessary to go so deep into choosing this particular species when getting a design but in reality once the job is done, you will either have a great looking tattoo or a terrible tattoo, the choice is yours!
So what does tarantula mean, Do you know?

Tarantula Tattoos Found Here

There is a town called Taranto which is the main town of Apulia, many spiders are found here, one of them being the tarantula and this is where the tarantula takes its name from

Tarantulas are not like the common spider in the way they build there webs, on the other hand they are more like hunters coming out at night to hunt their prey and then when they pounce on their prey they inject lethal deadly venom into their catch!

Back in the day there was a wide spread disease called “tarantism” which spread fast  through the town of Apulia.

Biggest Heart Tattoo Designs Mistakes.

This Tarantism somehow caused a hysterical condition in the sufferer, with one characteristic feature being the sudden desire to dance, in a wild and rapid whirling motion.

Though strange it might sound or seem, one of the reasons for getting up and dancing seemed to do with the perspiration getting the illness out of the body. If you go to Italy today you can still see this dance today, and this dance goes back to when they had this pandemic running through Apulia

Many people in this town thought that the big spider was the cause of this disease which they became known as tarantulas years later, we can only imagine how this would have cause people to kill tarantulas and even kill them throughout southern Europe. Many people in this town believed that if you were somehow bit by this spider you would be cured if you did the dance.

Back then people relied on someone like doctor kircher who helped patients who had gotten bit or thought they got bit from the spider he also provided sketches of these arachnids.  Finally, should one be unfortunate enough to get bitten, Kircher  gives a recommended piece of music – ‘Antidotum Tarantulæ’ – for the victim to dance to, to cure the bite

This is one of the main thoughts or reasons behind why we use the word tarantula today.
