Tattoo Removal – Things You Should Know About Tattoo Removal

News, Products, Stories, Tattoo Tips Add comments

Many people get tattoos done and then regret their decision, and while in the past the permanence of the tattoo was indeed a problem, things have now changed for the better. Thanks to the innovations now available for cosmetic applications, tattoo removal is available in lots of medical centers, clinics and salons. People let go of their tattoos because they can face professional and social difficulties or because the symbolism of the tattoo no longer represents them.

Several types of clinical methods and medical techniques now lie at the basis of tattoo removal, although laser technology has the highest popularity and efficiency of all. Laser breaks the colors in the skin into tiny particles that are more easily cleaned by the body’s immunity. Before full tattoo removal, several interventions or laser sessions may be necessary. The intervention is not risk free, particularly because you can develop blisters and scars.

The risks are considered minimum and dermatologists know what course of action to advise for. Another issue is that such forms of treatment will be pretty costly for your budget, as the charges range between 250 USD and 850 USD per session. The prices depend on the size of the tattoo and the colors used in the making; thus, you may have to pay thousands of dollars for a professional colorful tattoo, not to mention that you don’t have any guarantees that the procedure will be 100% effective.

Intense pulsed light therapy is another solution for tattoo removal. The treatment resembles with laser procedure, yet, it seems that it is better tolerated by the body and there are fewer sessions necessary. Such tattoo removal is incredibly costly too, as a clinic can charge up to 10 USD per light pulse. Just how much will you take out of the pocket when you add up the costs of all the pulses? Among other methods for tattoo removal, there are dermabrasion, excision or cream application, yet, their efficiency is doubtful.

Abrasive friction represents the basis for dermabrasion. Excision means the surgical elimination of the tattoo, and the topical tattoo removal is vehemently criticized because of the hazardous creams used. This only indicates the fact that there is a price to pay for every permanent tattoo you make. Think well before coloring your skin because sometimes you are stuck with it for good!
