Small Tattoo Designs For The Fragile And Delicate You!

News, Products, Stories, Tattoo Tips Add comments

Most people don’t realize small tattoo designs have been a part of our culture for several thousand years. Even the ancient Christians had used small tattoo designs as a recognition symbol. There have even been bodies from 9,000 years ago found with tattoos on them.

The word tattoo was brought to us from Tahiti thanks to the practice being performed on such men as Captain Cook and his crew. From those humble beginnings, tattoos became popular among sailors. Over the next few hundred years, a totally negative reputation was given to tattoos. Folks considered anyone with a tattoo as being a criminal or part of the lower class. Unfortunately, this stereotype has been prevalent since the beginning of the 19th century. Tattoos carried this reputation until recent years. Now tattoos are considered to be a form of fashion statement. For a woman, small tattoo designs are considered to be subtle marks of their gender as well.

So what makes people decide to have a small tattoo design done? There are as many reasons for tattoos as there are designs. Some of the other more popular reasons are personal reasons. They see the tattoo as a way to be unique, or to make a statement, join a group of their peers, rebel, form closer associations with their culture, or their family. A small tattoo design is easy to obtain in the tattoo parlor, but it is the choice of decision that can irritate you.

It is important to remember, also, that there are some risks associated with getting a tattoo. The best place to get your tattoo design is in a tattoo parlor. There are a variety of health issues you face when you consider getting a tattoo, and this gives better odds in your favor. These health issues include Hepatitis C, Impetigo, school sores, or allergic reaction. None of these illnesses are things to be taken lightly. Apart from the health issues, a quality small tattoo design is also important. There are several sources for finding these on the Internet.

Anyone will tell you it’s going to be painful. It is a test of endurance. Small tattoo designs are a major endurance test. These small design tattoos take time to create due to the intricate details required, and that means more time under the needle. They are also expensive to eradicate if you are not content with the outcome. Don’t get a tattoo on the spur of the moment; really think it through first. Remember it is a permanent fixture of your body.

If you have chosen the small tattoo design you want, do a careful check on the tattoo parlors in your area. There are several out there that you should definitely avoid. There have been stories about some parlors reusing their needles or not making sure the site was cleaned first. Both of these practices can lead to infection and AIDS. A respectable tattoo parlor will have their credentials posted proudly where they can be easily seen, and will have references you can check. Check to see that the equipment is sterile and the overall parlor is clean.

Be prepared to give your small tattoo design plenty of attention and care. Be sure to wash it and pat dry gently each day. Do not ever rub the tattoo as this can cause blurring. Do not soak your tattoo in water for about a week ñ so you have to say goodbye to bathing that area and swimming. However, once that week is up, feel free to let your new tattoo show when you hit the pool or beach! Also you should avoid exposing you tattoo to the sun for long periods. The sun will cause the colors to fade. Even if you have to go out in sun, try to put a sun-block over it. The joy of a small tattoo design is that anyone can pull one off.
